Thank you for your interest in using one of my published articles. The following text
gives instructions and the conditions for using the articles that I make available on
various websites. In general, I am quite liberal in allowing others to use my work, as
long as permission is requested and granted, you agree to my terms and conditions, and
proper attribution is preserved in the articles. In some rare cases, I may ask for a
royalty payment, in the event that you are publishing my information for a profit.
To request use or reprint of a specific article, I require that you send me:
 | The name and web address of each specific article you wish. |
| Your intended purpose for using my article. |
| Are you charging for access or otherwise selling the information as part of a product. |
| Specific contact information (your name, company, address, email address, and phone
number). |
| A return link to the web address that you intend to publish the materials on. |
Conditions of permission for use of published materials by Kevin Ross
- Limited permission is granted only for specific materials. You must provide a detailed
list of which materials you intend to use. If you haven't specifically asked to use an
article, you are in violation of international copyright laws.
- Permission extends to web linked materials that are specific to the list of materials.
For example, source code for an article may be used, as well as pictures and diagrams. A
separate article may not, even if linked to in the requested document. If in doubt, you
should specify in your request.
- Kevin W Ross reserves and retains all rights to the materials requested. You are not
authorized to grant permission to any other parties for use of these materials.
- If any materials are sold, rented, or charged for use, you should be very specific in
your request. You are not allowed, unless specific permission is granted, to sell, rent,
or otherwise use these materials for profit.
- All materials will show the name of the Author, Kevin W Ross, at the top of the article.
Any articles used from publications, such as the Seattle Robotics Society Encoder, will
have preserved the header for the Encoder, the authors name, and will also include a link
to http://www.seattlerobotics.org/encoder
- On completion, you will send a link or printed copy of the reprinted materials
- Permission may be revoked at any time for any cause by Kevin W Ross. You agree to cease
publication and to remove any materials you have borrowed immediately in the event you are
notified of revocation of permission.
