| All of the HC12 based kits and the RS-232/TTL cable have surface mount parts. I
provide instructions on how to solder them. You do need to have a can of Paste Soldering
Flux to mount these parts. If you don't have Paste Flux, I am offering it below. One can
of paste flux will last you many years, and it is the most useful substance I can think of
for soldering work. |

| PasteFlux |
A 2oz can of Kester Rosin Paste Flux, formula SP-44 which is
used during the assembly of kits with surface mount parts, and also generally useful when
ever you are soldering. Flux helps solder flow correctly. You can use this to rework cold
joints, to clean the tip of your iron, and to mount surface mount parts. If you don't have
a can of Paste Flux, and do any amount of electrical soldering, do your self a big favor
and spend the two bucks. Trust me, it is semi-liquid gold. One can will last a typical
hobbiest about 20 years! |
